Soul Inspiration – What’s your word?

Have you ever set a New Year’s Resolution and never followed through with it. Did you ever ask yourself why?

What I’ve found is rather than setting a New Year’s Resolution I decided to choose a word for the year. What that means is, I choose a word for how I want my year to play out, like a theme. I create a wallpaper for my phone so I see it every day and it keeps me on track for the whole year. I’ve been doing this for nearly 10 years.

Research shows 85% of people who set New Year’s Resolutions give up in the first 3 months.

This year I chose two words as my theme. My words were CONSCIOUSLY CREATE.

This year I chose two words as my theme. My words were CONSCIOUSLY CREATE.

At the end of 2021 I felt like I wasn’t really living my life, just going day by day and not creating anything meaningful. I felt lost and stuck. After 2 years of lockdowns it made me really think about how I wanted to live my life and I kept asking myself the question, Am I living my best life right now. At the time my answer to this question was No, I am not. I wasn’t happy in my marriage, I had put on weight, I wanted to downsize my business but was too scared and I wasn’t totally happy within my self.

So for me choosing the words for the year, CONSCIOUSLY CREATE allowed me to Reclaim my Power and consciously create my BEST life.

At first I wasn’t sure what I wanted my best life to look like or how I was going to create it. So, I looked at my numerology chart and my personal year and thought, how can I consciously create my best life using numerology. My personal year for 2022 was 3 and the energy of 3 is about Communication, Self-Expression and Creativity. With this knowledge in hand I started thinking about what this meant and what I can do. Here’s how my year went:

In January I kicked off the year by subleasing a space in Oak Flats teaching Yoga & Pilates and working from home doing 1:1 personal training. I also made a decision to write a blog once a month. I called it Soul Inspiration. I wanted to write about anything that was going on in my life that inspired me and if I shared it with others would inspire them. This was a part of my personal year about expressing myself.

February was pretty quiet. We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday with a Mardi Gra theme.

March saw me Reclaim my Power and finally end my 23 year marriage. I started to find me again. I made a decision to put myself first no matter what. I started putting my health first and started a plan to lose weight.

April was huge! Under the energy of 3 I decided to join the Speakers Institute to overcome my fear of public speaking, to better my communication skills and share my message with the world. From that experience I wanted to surround myself with inspiring, motivating and like-minded people so I signed up for their second program that also lead to another amazing opportunity.

I spent 6 days on the Gold Coast revisiting my NLP training pushing myself out of my comfort zone and sharing accommodation with 3 women I didn’t know. It affirmed my decisions and I felt like I was finally on the right path.

Oh and I also got my lip pierced. Something crazy I wanted to do.

May saw me move my 1:1 personal training clients into groups and move outdoor because my neighbours complained I was running my business from home. A blessing in disguise.

I attended the Filex Business Summit with my good mate Bec. I was hired as the Filex Event Crew Co-ordinator. This was the first Filex event since Covid. It was great to catch up with old friends again. By this time I had lost about 7 kilos.

On the same weekend as the business summit I volunteered for my first speakers Institute event, the first of which became many.

I also went to Vivid by myself. Yep. I was there. It was on. Why not.

It was at this time I got the role as a Growth Coach with the Speakers Institute paid on commission (it was a foot in the door to increasing my proximity with the right people).

June saw me join the online dating world. What an experience that was. If you do do online dating go in with your eyes wide open and watch for the red flags.

In between online dating and work I volunteered for an online Speakers Institute Boot Camp, always continuing to learn and grow.

This is the month where I found a new premises to teach my Yoga & Pilates classes. The place I was sub-leasing at the beginning of the year closed down. I was very fortunate to get a great place in Shellharbour.

Such a great place I ran my first Yoga retreat since Covid. I had 8 women and it was a great success which has lead to wanting to do more retreats and impact more lives.

I decided to join a gym to meet new people. I was getting bored and lonely working out at home. So I thought the best way to meet people was in a group training environment. So I joined F45.

July was also another huge month. Something unexpected happened, I met a guy, Brad. It started out casual, both of us saying we didn’t want a relationship…well I can say that has changed. By this time I had lost 13 kilos and had my confidence and happiness back.

I volunteered for the Speakers Institute again, this time it was for their face to face Premier Boot Camp in Sydney. This experience confirmed I wanted to become a coach & facilitator for the Speakers Institute and transform lives in a different way outside of my training, yoga and retreats. I loved being in the proximity of great people.

We had our second Filex convention. This time it was the Fitness Summit. Again I was the crew coordinator and went with my good mate Bec. It was a fun weekend hanging with like-minded fitness professionals.

August saw me going on lots of dates and adventures with Brad.

September I celebrated my 44th birthday, went on more dates and had lots fun times. I did my second retreat under a full moon and Brad helped me with cooking the food. I absolutely loved the fact that he wanted to help me. I moved house this month to a smaller house, not by choice. Because the neighbours complained about my business and parking issues with my kids cars the landlord wanted us out. It was truly another blessing in disguise. It was a very cathartic experience getting rid of old things and negative energy. My eldest daughter moved out of home with her boyfriend, which made me happy and sad at the same time.

October I had my first experience on a ski boat, had more dates and adventures with Brad. By this stage our relationship deepened and we found ourselves falling in love. I had my third and final retreat for the year which was amazing and Brad helped again with preparing and cooking the food.

November started with Melbourne Cup at the local races, an event I have never been too. It was fun to dress up and watch the races. Brad and I went on more dates and adventures.

I went to Melbourne with the Speakers Institute for another Premier Boot Camp. This time I was paid to be there as a growth coach. My volunteering and loyalty paid off. It was another amazing experience to be apart of the transformation of all the participants who attended.

I had a 2 day trip to Sydney re-connecting back with the guys from COM marketing, a program I did for nearly 5 years. It was helped me focus on what I need to do for my business next year. Brad and I stayed in the city for 2 nights. We attended the COM Christmas party together and the following night we went out to a beautiful restaurant and a few clubs.

And now here we are in December. I’ve been to Sydney for a one day event with the Speakers Institute, had another ski day on the boat which led me to going to get my boat license, got divorced and changed my name back to my maidan name, SPEARS and spent 3 days on the central coast with the speakers institute team for a Christmas Retreat.

And Christmas is yet to come.

I’d love to hear some of your highlights from 2022. Send an email to fitshape.tracy@gmail.com

With all the events and changes that have happened in 2022 I can say with hand on my heart I have consciously created it all. It’s been a massive year of change and growth, so I wonder what’s to come for 2023.

Like I mention at the beginning of this blog I choose a word for the year. Next year my word is BUILD. To me this means I will Build my relationship, Build my career with the Speakers Institute, Build my name TRACY SPEARS, Build my business (Yoga, Pilates & Group Personal Training sessions) and Build my Retreats.

There’s been so many wonderful moments in 2022 I couldn’t write them all here but I will say I am totally grateful for all the amazing moments that happened and for all the moments where I thought weren’t so great but actually turned out to be blessings. And I know…. The BEST is YET to COME!

My encouragement to you is choose a word, live and breath it every day and consciously create your BEST life.

Remember,

Live with Passion xx 💋
